Ooh, you poor thing. One week was more than enough. It felt like months.

Grace, and I lived almost exclusively on it for 2 weeks. I asked the Dr
about a week there if I could sleep on the floor, I told him it had to be
more comfortable. So the next day, they actually brought in something
called an egg crate mattress. And it was nicer. V

Oh, Leslie, those hospital beds are nightmares. After my baby was born I had
a lot of pain when trying to eat and no one knew why. So the food would
come and the staff would cheerfully announce: "food and nutrition!" I
couldn't stand those words.
I felt so much better after I got home.

Hi V. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks too and I agree, that bed was the
worst. I was so happy that I didn't have to eat in bed when I got home.
During the first few days at home, I had dreams that the doctors and nurses
were still with me and it was a shock to wake up in my own bed or the
reliner.

Yup, that's what I had. They said she was due November 3 and on September
20 is when I had my episode of bleeding at 1:30 am. I wasn't sure if my
water broke or my plug came out, but it also was s woosh of liquid. We
called the hospital and I asked, "this might sound like a silly question,
but when your water breaks, what color should it be?" The nurse said,
"clear." I told her mine was not and they told me come right away. So I
slid into pants, shirt and the only shoes that would fit me and away we
went. That's where I stayed for 2 more weeks. Yuck, that bed was the worst.
In those 2 weeks, I had 3 amneio centesis to see if her lungs were
developed, so they could schedule the csection. She wanted to stay there.
So they finally took her October 7. She was born with pneumonia. Ok, this
is probably why Tammy thought she was full term. She weighed in at 7 lbs,
13 oz, but they called her a preemie and took her to the NIC unit. She was
hooked up to all kinds of machines. V

Hi V. I never got to experience my water breaking either. Did you have
placenta previa? I too started bleeding and had to be on the 24 hour
bedrest. My bleeding was 9 weeks early. They were able to keep Michael in
me for 8 days and after I developed a serious infection and a 103dg fever,
the doctors decided it would be best to do a C-Section.
