Guide Dogs for the Blind does do home trainings and are very open to working
with individuals who have young children.  They have also recently gone to
either two or three week courses for training if you actually go to the
school.  I was able to take the time to go for 3 weeks because I had some
outstanding help when it came to child care, but now if I had to go back
would choose the two-week course.  Hth.

Anyone know of schools that will train you in your home community? I am
unable to reserve as much time as the schools need away from my home. We
also have a specific need for the type of dog given that my husband is very
allergic to most dog dander. I am in Michigan and yes we have leader dogs
but I do not see reference to home training on their web page.
