Barbara, not that this will help but you can always try.  After my mom
passed away last summer and Gab started having trouble sleeping, we had many
nights exactly like you are talking of.  I started making her some sleepy
time tea or I think it was called sweet dreams.  Anyway, it seemed to sooth
her and she began sleeping.  After that wore off, our pediatrician suggested
giving her a Tylenol pm to calm her and it worked like a charm.  Tylenol pm
is just a mix between regular Tylenol and benadryll.  The Dr. also said we
could just give her the benadryll, but that didn't seem to work as well.
We only did this for a short time. I don't like giving her meds if I don't
have to. V

I can sit in his room with him and just knowing I'm there is fine, but if he

knows I leave he very desperately says, "sit by you?"
Daddy sat with him for over half an hour last night and he didn't go to 
sleep.  When Daddy left to go take out garbage and stuff there was shouts of

protest.  When Daddy came back upstairs, he started in earnest to wind 
himself up.  He screamed for over an hour and when that didn't work he just 
started talking to himself.  Daddy said he was awake until 2:00 and he awoke

around 8:00.
I did do the go in, lay him down, tell him it's time to sleep and that I 
love him and I'd see him in the morning.  We also tell him that it's time to

sleep and that we're not going to pay attention to him because we all want 
to sleep.  Thanks for letting me know that I'm doing it right.
