[blparent] Question/Suggestions to parents only!!!!

We went on vacation with my husband's cousins this summer and his oldest
son, now 13, is Autistic.  What we learned quickly if the truck was too
quiet or too noisy he was agitated, but if we had good music on, he was
calm.  My husband played a variety of music the whole trip and E did just
fine. V

With Corbs, I put a ear bud in my phone, and play soft music from my Iyepod
Touch, Livie! I donno how she'll do. It's her 1st time, so we'll takea trip
to the airport, and let her tuer a plane, that might be fun for her

Some children don't like flying, the air pressure in the ears.  Some babies
scream from airport to airport.  If yours do not, be thankful, but I have
some friends that weren't that lucky and their baby screamed almost all the
way from AZ to DC. Yuck! This is when you really wish you could have taken a
tranquilizer or just put on those quiet comfort earfphones to drown out all
the crying. V

This Christmas, we are flying to Germany to visit the hubby’s side of the
family 


 

I haven’t flown in 4 ½ years, nor have I ever flown with a toddler.

 

Any suggestions on what to pack?

 

My son is compleately sited, and my step daughter is autictic.

 

Do I need anything special for Livie because she’s autistic and 4?

 

 

 

Only answer if you are a parent, grandparent, or if your children  fall into
the age range 2 and 4, or if you have flown recently.
