[blparent] Car seats for children 1 year-old or older?

Hi,

That is true! It is law that if you're traveling in a commercial vehicle
like a city bus or cab you don't have to have a carseat. But if you are in
a car which most paratransit and similar vehicles are classed as, you have
to have a car seat. Just a thought, if your baby was on your lap in a bus
or cab, or even strapped to you, how would that baby be protected if the bus
got in to an accident?

hth
