[blparent] Car seats for children 1 year-old or older?

Hi,
I agree that you can't use a carseat on a city bus. However, my husband and I find ourselves riding with friends or taking our local paratransit quite a bit. I will probably use a carrier such as the ergo (or similar) for city bus transport, and a carseat for any other transporting needs.

You can't use a car seat on a city bus...Wel, it's not feasible, anyway. 
I've been on enough crowded city buses to know.  I've ridden buses where 
it's standing room only.  There are no seat belts aside from those used to 
tie dwon wheelchairs. so, putting them into a stroller or strapping ot you 
are the only options available.
