Hi,

You've seen those carriers like the snuggly carriers right?  You slide the 
baby down inside and put his feet out the holes?  Well essencially the only 
thing stopping him from falling right through is the center part that goes 
from front to back, similar to a pair of pants.  This is why I say he's 
hanging or dangling by his crotch.  A lot of research had been done and 
suggests that carriers similar to the snuggley shouldn't be used because 
they can compress the spine causing damage.
