[blparent] Carseats for children 1 year-old or older?

Hi Tammy,
I would absolutely love to find a foldable booster seat that I can fit into a backpack. However, the ones that Babies R us have won't fit in a backpack. Basicly, you take the back off to create a backless booster, and you would need to have a "Large" duffle bag.
I also understand what you're saying about a 4-year-old wanting to walk rather than being carted around in a stroller.

Okay, I know you're trying to think ahead and that's great!  But here's a 
thought!  You have a four year old that wants to walk by himself and doesn't 
want to sit in the stroller.  Is it really going to be practical for you to 
wheel around a big stroller type device, all the kid's stuff and the kid? 
Or might it be more practical for you to buy a separate booster seat when 
the time comes, maybe one that folds up or can fit in a backpack so you 
don't have to wheel anything around with you.  That way you'll have both 
hands free to deal with your child.
