I have to say, if this child's case is so urgent, why are they kicking
her out of the adoption process at 14? Doesn't she deserve a family
after the age-out process? 
And, why must a family already be "in the system" if they want to adopt?
Seems like if this was really urgent, they'd fast track a family that
met the other requirements. 
Of course, I don't much trust the Chinese, but that isn't this little
girl's fault.

I have sent emails to the TV and radio stations in Salt Lake.  i have no

idea if there was a picture, but that would have helped.  Unfortunately,

most people in the US are looking for a baby to adopt.  All too often,
older 
children like this girl fall through the cracks because nobody wants an 
older child, esecially not a teen, and not one with a disability

I know that China has placed restrictions on adoption by blind parents,
but
I have heard that they make exception for blind parents who wish to
adopt a
blind child, so this may be a possibility for someone on this list.

Do you already have a dossier and an approved I-600 (not I-800)
logged-in -
including singles. Are you approved to adopt two children? Are you

Description:
YTY. Girl. Despite her small size, she is 13. She has been able to make

she attends. She has learned Braille, enjoys studying language and makes
good grades. However, a family who can offer her love and attention as

as a full spectrum of resources for the sight impaired, will help her
blossom. She has some vision in her left eye; she does not have a right
eye
and she has a heart issue (involving bicuspid II SM). When she turns 14
she
will no longer be able to be adopted domestically or internationally.
