[blparent] Carseats for children 1 year-old or older?

I think they've all got holes where you slide the seatbelt through.
Go to a baby supply store, tell a sales person what you need to do and
have him or her help you practice on the mock-up seat. If you get
someone who won't help you, find one who will
It's true, most people put a carseat in and leave it, but there is no
law saying you have to do it this way.

Hi,
The carseats we see that are rated for up to 40 lbs are permanent
placements in your car. What do we do when we take a taxi/bus and they
obviously won't let us (nor would I want to) leave the carseat in the
vehicle?
Thanks, and have a great weekend!

In Christ, Miranda

Unfortunqtely, that's just kind of the way it goes. Unless things have
changed, infant seats go up to about 22 lbs, toddler seats maybe up to
about
45, and after that, the kids use a booster seat. Actually, come to
think of
it, Angelica's booster was 30 to 100, I think. And, unless someone
knows
something diferent for how to do it, toddler seats aren't advisable on a

bus. at those weights, children can sit safely buckled in a stroller or
on
your lap.
