[blparent] FW: [Chapter-presidents] Help us to bring Mikaelahome

This is a very good point about the medical profession in general.

I know that I have encountered the most ignorant people who also happen to
be doctors and nurses when just dealing with myself let alone trying to take
the lead in my children's medical process.

I shopped around for my pediatrician until I found one who was comfortable
with me. This really paid off when the ear nose and throat guy almost
refused to remove my oldest son's tonsils because he didn't think I could
handle the post op. My pediatrician called him and really strongly
advocated with and for us.

There is so much to be done with the medical profession, but if we target
nurses and pediatricians, maybe our work will spread out to other medical
professionals through networking.
