Hi, everyone,

Several people have asked how those who didn't attend the NFB national convention last week can help the NFB of Missouri in advocating for the blind couple who had their baby seized by CPS. As many of you know, they have hired an attorney and are awaiting the July 20 hearing. In the meantime, the state's voc rehab agency has also provided the couple with training in any aspects of caring for the child about which the hospital could possibly have concerns. After baby Micaela is back home, the NFB will reevaluate what action is necessary to ensure that this hospital and Missouri CPS never put another couple through this hell on the basis of their disability. Donations to the NFB of Missouri to help them defray the enormous legal costs of this case can be sent to:
