Just reflecting on the circulated message regarding the recent Missouri case--I agree with all that we definitely need to take some kind of action to help to reduce if not put a stop to such cases--I applaud the Missouri NFB for successfully returning Makayla home to her parents where she belongs!!! Every time I come across such a case where a children protective services division takes a child from his/her blind parents, I get a little frightened and worried and hope and pray with ongoing education and awareness, all will become more and more understanding of the true capabilities of blind people and others with disabilities--that we have just as much of a right to raise children successfully as anyone else and they are not put in any less or more danger whether the parents are blind or sighted. Anxious to see what all transpires regarding presidence and action. Glad to be on this listserv--even though I do not yet have children it is a good feeling to know if and/or when the time arises, I know I am networked with a group of successful blind parents who have been there and have done it and are doing it!

PS: I was wondering if that "Through Our Eyes" show will be archived for later viewing in the NFB website's audio/video center or elsewhere on the site? I was interested in the upcoming program tomorrow night but might not get to it. Thanks.
