[blparent] question

I couldn't agree more with this. I'm not a strict parent for the most part,
but there are some things that my kids absolutely know, without a doubt,
that there will be serious consequences for. Acting out in public is one,
and not answering me whenever I call them is another. I have been known to
get up and leave a restaurant and take the kids directly home because my
daughter got up and when I asked her to sit down she did not answer me or
sit back down, both of which were grounds for consequences. I immediately
got up, apologized to our server for taking her time, and caught the next
bus home. I am just all too aware of the many many things that could go
wrong if my child decided to run from me and not come back or answer when
I'm out, and so I am very very firm about this. And again, I'm not that
strict about too many things, but this is really important. Just my
thoughts on this. Have a great week everyone.

Joy and family

No, no matter what age, hiding from blind parents has to be an absolute,
drop dead no no. Safety is a huge factor in this.

Mine didn't try this until they were older. 3 and 4. But I have a
sited
wife so she helps out a whole lot. They'll understand more when they
get
older that it's not nice to hide from there blind parents.

Subject: [blparent] question

Hi everyone! I had a question for anyone that may be able to help.
My 20 month old has figured out that if she's really quiet, we have
trouble
finding her. I know about the idea of bells on her shoes, but she hates
shoes, so she takes them off. She also knows how to take her clothes
off,
so I can't put bells on her clothes either. Does anyone else have any
other
ideas I could try. Thanks so much for your help.
    Nikki
