[blparent] need urgent help

OK, forget my last post about the family. This makes the situation a little
clearer, but I still don't understand why the family and parents would hear
different information from CPS.

"A strong nation, like a strong person, can afford to be gentle, firm,
thoughtful, and restrained. It can afford to extend a helping hand to
others. It is a weak nation, like a weak person, that must behave with
bluster and boasting and rashness and other signs of insecurity."

Thank you I have added Scott to the list of resources I will be giving the
mom in the morning.
>From what the mom has told me, she contacted the nurse because she noticed
the baby having problems breathing while her first time breast feeding. This

nurse reported them. The social worker said they have concerns because both
parents are blind. she asked questions like what would they do if baby is
sick and how would they know if she had a fever. The mom answered by saying

take a cab or ambulance depending on urgency to doctor or hospital. and that

there are talking thermomenters. the social worker said that she still
didn't think they had a plan and she didn't feel comfortable releasing baby
to them unless they had 24/7 help for the first 2 weeks. This isn't an
option for them, so the last I heard from the mom around noon was that their

baby was being discharged into protective custody this afternoon.
If i had the means, I'd be there as this supposed 24/7 support that is
needed just so they could bring their baby home from the hospital like they
should have been able to do.
Any help is greatly appreciated. And thank you everyone.
