Hi,
If this hasn't been said already, the spoon is the boon squirt spoon if my memory serves me right.
Hth, and have a great week!

Hi Peggy,

It's pretty normal to get food everywhere when feeding little ones, so don't worry when it happens. smile The consistency of the food, and the movement of the baby make it almost impossible not to make a mess. I actually found feeding my babies on my lap worked well because I could monitor where their head was and get the food pretty much in their mouths most of the time. If you're just starting cereal, you could get one of those squeezey spoons, sorry I can't remember the name of the one I had, but they work well if you're just starting out. Maybe someone on the list knows what I'm talking about and can provide you with the name of the spoon. But basically it's a baby spoon at one end and a rubber bulb that's about twice the size of a nasal aspirator at the other end. This bulb screws off and you put food inside it, about 3 ounces I'd say. Then you put the spoon back on and when you squeeze the bulb end it squeezes food on to the spoon. This allows you to feed the baby with one hand and there's less mess because there's no bowl. I used one for my last baby and we both loved it. It's not something you'd want to use for a long time, but when they're just getting the hang of the spoon, and eating pureed fruit and cerial, it helps a bit.

hth

I asked this question on another list but thought I’d ask again on here. Always good to get different opinions. How did you feed your babies baby food? My son is almost six months old and we started feeding him baby food about a month ago. I think I get more of it on his face and clothes then I do in his mouth, lol. Any suggestions?? I should have expert answers on how to do this as my two older kids were fed and survived but I think with them I got more everywhere too. Any thoughts would be helpful!!

Peggy
