[blparent] administering eyedrops

Hi,

I always ask the farmacy for an extra eye-drop bottle so I can fill it with water and practice on the back of my hand before I do the real thing in an eye. Then I use the bottle and figure out how hard I have to squeeze for one drop. As you probably know, Eyedrops sting a little when they go in, so I try to hold the child's head still, or tell them to do it themselves if they're old enough to understand and follow instructions. Babies are easy because you can hold them still but it's not so easy with a squirming toddler who doesn't understand why it hurts.

Good luck and hope this helps,

Tammy
