You are right, better when the kids are a bit older. But most places like
that do have a kiddie area. Like the aquatic center here, has a kiddie pool
which is set away from the big pools and all the noise. V

The condo complex where I live has an outdoor pool, but it's closed between
Labor Day and Memorial Day. There's a rec center here in town, but I've
never taken Sarah to the pool there. It's overwhelming for me, with all the

kids running around and splashing, and the noise, and I've never quite
figured out how to handle the situation well without sight. We took Sarah
to a big water park last summer, but I HAD My stepkids there to help me. I
suppose a pool party could work if there were enough adult supervision, but
I'm thinking it might be better when Sarah is a few years older. She does
love the water, though. She has an inner tube with a seat in the middle of
it that she floats in, but I'm thinking she'll have outgrown that by next
summer.
