What exactly are you having trouble with.
You can't regulate when/if they are making faces at the table: at
least not very easily without sighted assistance (either from an older
sibling or someone else).
Children do tend to mock what they see.
You can feel their back and shoulders from time to time to see if they
are keeping their face too close to the food. Or you can hear their
voice.
If they are eating with their fingers, just check their hands from
time to time and remind them that Mommy uses a spoon and that they
should.
Also, you can practice by having a teaparty or playing restaurant.
You can use some playdough.
Then, if it is a meat cutting type of thing, you can feel the pretend
meat that they cut.
