I walked with the kids several times last week to make sure they knew the
route and they have assured me that they know it.  I am sure they do, even
better than me.  But,  I will feel better when I get her new phone.  I can't
wait till she gets home today.  I will will give a full report this evening.
She and the others are walking home alone as requested.  I might just walk
to the corner, 2 blocks up. V

I just wanted to tell you that Gab is starting midschool tomorrow.  This is
a bit scarey for me as we now live in walking distance, no more buses for
us.
I and a couple of mom's will walk a group of kids to the new school but the
flipside, they want to walk home alone.  I want to go meet them, but they
already told me they are now midschoolers and want to walk home alone.
I know in a couple of weeks this will be old hat, but right now, I am not
ready to untie the strings. V
