[blparent] presents?

Sarah did like the bus.  But you know, it turned out to be kind of funny. 
She asked me to get that bus toy out of the closet off and on from the time 
she saw it a month or two ago, telling me how much she needed to have it and 
showing me how all of her Little People toys were lined up waiting to ride 
to school.  We decorated a cardboard box with stickers and used that in 
place of the real toy,, and she went along with it, but it was a poor 
stand-in.  Then, when she opened the bus on Christmas morning, she was happy 
with it and drove the Little People characters to school, but she didn't 
connect it with the bus toy she'd been waiting for from the closet.  At 
least she didn't say anything like "Finally" or "It's about time" or "I know 
where that came from."  I guess that all got lost in the excitement of Santa 
Claus, thankfully.
