Hey there parents, do any of you have girl scouts?
Gab had a girl scout event yesterday called thinking Day. Each troop
researches a country, they make a poster with facts about that country, they
make samples of food and hand them out to other girl scouts and they came up
with a skit and then they perform it in front of all the other troops signed
up for that event.
Gab's troop did France. They dressed up as Mimes. They wore black pants
and a black long sleeve shirt and then the leader purchased a short sleeve
black and white striped t-shirt to go over it. They also wore a black
beret and a red neck tie. Part of the troop, gab's team did a skit where
they had to walk on and down a staircase, play tug of war and they were
suppose to pretend they were stuck in a box but ran out of time. Another
team held up cards with French phrases on them letting the audience know
what the performers were doing. One card was in English and the other side
was in French. The third team were sining in French. At the booth they
handed out pieces of home-made French bread with Bree cheese on them.
Before and after the skits were performed from all troops, the girl were
allowed to wander from country to country eating samples and collecting what
is called a SWAP. Each troop made something to hand out, our troop made
Eifel towers from pipe cleaners. SWAP stands for something with a pin.
France won first place for best performance. Woohoo!
