Hi Peggy,
For us, respite is different than daycare. In our state, respite is overnight care. That does indeed need to be a foster parent. I'm not seeking overnight care.

Actually you have to take them to places that are approved to do respit 
care.  You can't just pick a daycare and say ... I like this one, this is 
where they're going.  The home or people have to be approved by the state to 
do your respite care.  It should be covered in your training and your 
workers should be able to help you when the time comes.  If there's any more

number of years.  People also have to be approved to drive and other things 
as well.
