I was again not endorsing the product, just putting it out there for
information purposes.  I did read on the site that once the medicine is gone
from the compartment it becomes more difficult for the child to get liquids
which would be the clue for knowing the medicine was gone.  I thought the
description for cleaning and unstopping the valves might be difficult for
someone with out sight.  I thought the same about adding juice to the
medicine, however this cup claims to be developed by pediatricians, so they
must not see a problem with it.  I am still a ways off from needing to try
this one now.  My youngest is only 5 months, and my other 2 children are 5
and 13.

I would stear clear of this cup.  Firstly because it's way too expensive,
for that price you could get a whole bunch of sippy cups.  Secondly because
mixing most medacins with any other liquid is a very bad idea because the
medacins can be broken down by the liquid especially if it has sugar in it
like juice does.  Also, this cup seems impractical for those parents who are
blind, because it might be hard to tell how much of the actual medacin a
child takes.  A better idea would be to use a large eye dropper or ceringe
to give medacin, that way you can be sure the child has taken it all.  If
you do this from the beginning, the child will learn that medacin doesn't
get administered in a cup, and will not, as the article on the link below
suggests, have any issues with certain cups in certain situations.

Hi,

I was talking with a friend who saw a review of a interesting product on our
local news.  I went online and found it's website, the link is provided
below.  Apparently it is a sippy cup which makes giving oral liquid medicine
to toddler's easier and sure to see that the child gets all the medicine.  I
may actually buy one to check out first hand.  The sippy sure is going for
about $8.99 on ebay.
