Subject: [blparent] Three recommended attractions, Part 1: Long Beach
Hi everyone, the next 2 messages may be of interest to Erin and Ronit,
although the rest of you can follow along. The first one is for Erin, going
to Long Beach.
In the interest of this list, this stuff is, and will be, blindness and
blparent-related.
Recommendatinns:
Water Taxi
Long Beach Transit offers Aqua Link and the Water Taxi. (All blind people
ride free in the city of Long Beach.) You can pick up Aqua Link or the Taxi
from Shoreline Village or the Queen Mary, (see below.) Your child will have
a ball taking an adventure of a lifetime, and friendly staff await your
arrival. Visit www.lbtransit.com for more information.
The Queen Mary: www.queenmary.com: Your baby will love, (and you and your
child, too) the tour, carnival midway, and scrumptious food. Plus, there's
always something on at the Queen Mary, a large ship now anchored in Long
Beach Harbor.
The Aquarium of the Pacific (www.aquariumofthepacific.org), lastly, can
introduce you and your child to exotic animals, and there are plenty of
touchable exhibits.
