Leslie, I agree with the suggestions given so far. I think Michael would 
enjoy the pictures more than just listening to you read and then if he turns

the page, which he will try to do, it's not like messing with an electronic 
device that you need. National Braille Press has a lot of print/Braille 
books for purchase or perhaps you can request them from your lending 
library. He may enjoy music while he's playing, children's CD's, more than 
your reading to him; save that for when you are putting him to bed. Good
