No, but thanks. This doll was very real looking where cabbage patch dolls
had goofy faces. This doll I'm looking for was definitely commercially sold
though because my parents wouldn't have gotten a doll that was a collector
or specially made or anything like that.

Thanks for trying to help.

Is it a cabbage patch? I had one when I was little, and her heart would
beat, I loved her! It was called a heart to heart cabbage patch.

Hello list,

There is a doll I had as a child and loved more than anything. My doll
"Scotty" got lost when my family moved while I was in high-school. Please
let me know if any of you can recognize this doll by my description and tell
me what the name of this doll is or if you had one yourself. I would
appreciate any help you can give me.

I received this baby doll in 1988. This was a very realistic looking new
born baby that was the size of a 3-6 month old and had a vinyl head, arms
and legs and fabric body. The baby's heart would beat when you hugged it,
but there wasn't anywhere in the back to open the doll to replace the
batteries so once the battery went that feature never worked again. The
eyes were fixed in a closed position and there was no hair on the baby but
the vinyl head had some hair texture on top. The features were crazy real
and people in public would always be freaked out that my parents were
letting their 8 year old daughter carry around a baby until they would get
right up on the doll and see that it wasn't real. Some people would even
have to touch the doll to see that it wasn't real. That's what I loved so
much about it as a kid and it had to have weighed around 5lbs. I have
searched and searched on-line and right when I think I've found this doll it
turns out to be a different doll than what I'm looking for.

Please help if you can and thanks.

Erin
