[blparent] Question of Interest

Quite normal probably because some people still call her baby for
endearment, and probably because kids play and talk about what they know,
and her memory of life at this time is of her late toddlerhood and being a
baby in her mind. It will pass if you make nothing of it.

smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future
worth living for."

Subject: [blparent] Question of Interest

Hi. I'm not too worried about it, but I'm wondering if any of your toddlers
ever started referring to themselves as "the baby." Most of the time,
Sarah, who is three, is very proud of the fact that she's a big girl. But
then sometimes in the next breath, she'll start referring to herself as "the
baby." She'll want to sit in her high chair again, which we just haven't
gotten around to finding a new home for. But mostly it's just referring to
herself as "the baby"--as in "The baby wants milk."

unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into
advance."--Franklin D. Roosevelt
