that is funny Barbara. At least they didn't try to call you "Babs,"
(UGG).

If it makes you feel better Veronica, "Rani," means Queen in Urdu.
But, it is spelled differently.

I had a teacher who always wanted to put "ers" on people's names:
"Buffy," was "Buffers," "Susan," was "Susers," etc.
It just drove me nuts!!!
Just like my mother wanting to put "ee" on the end of boys names:
"Josh," became "Joshy."
So, I know how you feel about "noee."

Yes, to the person who didn't name their twins Nicholas and alexander.
(Full house?)
that would be one of my worries:
but isn't it strange that the name that does have an "ee" sound on the
end, like "jesse," gets shortened to Jess.
My husband thinks it is strange that parents sometimes give their
children one or two or more middle names: yet shorten the first.
My sister does have a "donnavan," and she does not let anyone call him
"donnie." Yet, everyone (but me, only because I am sensitive to this
name thing) called her older son "Cody," when his name is "Dakota."
