I have dogs. One guide dog and the other a pet. Both are short hair labs.
I tend to keep them in certain areas of the house like the kitchen and deck
area. I allow them into the living room when there is someone to give them
individual attention such as myself while Olivia's brothers are playing with
her or vice versa. I have tile in the kitchen and of course the deck is out
doors. I use the swiffer cloth broom. And also I bought a small vacuum for
the hard surfaces which is pretty good for dog hair. The only thing is the
suction area of the vac is shaped funny, like a v, and I find it hard to get
into corners and under the edges of cabinets. I usually sweep them out and
the run over it with this little vac. I read the comments on wal- mart and
it received a good rating and especially for dog hair. It is called Bissell
power edge. I think it was around maybe $50.

Subject: [blparent] crawling baby
Along those line, I started to think:
OK, you know, I am only 15---16 weeks preg. But:
this is the first time that I have had a dog and a baby at the same time.
I and my husband are pretty particular.
We would not want the baby crawling on the floor with so much dog hair.
Now, yes, we do have hard wood floors and yes I sweep.
But, still, there is dog hair.
any suggestions for a better way to get up dog hair???
thanks.
