He won't show such a short video to her again, that is for sure.  Challenges
are a good thing but having to do the same work over and over because the
papers disappear is pointless. It's the same if an employee works really
hard on an assignment and then the boss or someone in his office loses it.
How would you feel if you had to recreate the whole thing all over again.
Some of the paents have started sending the assignments via email.  Gab
doesn't want me to do this.  She says it looks like the parents don't have
faith that the children can turn in the work.

We had a teacher who did this. It didn't phase me. I don't know that it
phased anybody else either. 
What I would take issue with is the papers disappearing, especially if it
happens after you complain. That is not okay.  I'm trying to think of a
workplace anology and failing. 
I'd mention this to him and also log it with whoever his supervisor is. 
I'd leave your emotions out of the discussion, just state what you have
observed. 
Also, I'd leave the amount of homework out of it as Gab seems to be fine
with it. You may not like it, but it isn't your education. Plus, you've
stated she needs a challenge and it sounds like she is doing well with this
challenge given that her grades are so good. 
I'd also bring up the marking down if a parent doesn't sign something. You
cannot physically or legally make someone sign something they do not want to
sign. Contracts that are signed in such a manner are voided because you
cannot havea binding contract when one of the parties has signed under
duress. I'd remind him of that. 
As for the movie, I'm not sure what to think. He apologized to her which is
a good thing. He probably won't show sucha movie again.

Wow, I'm not sure I like the sound of this teacher.  The reenactments of 
history and the Jeopardy are awesome and creative, and the best kind of 
learning that we can hope for, in my opinion.  But tipping over desks?  So 
then, it's okay to throw furniture around if you havve a reason you think is

good enough?  I wonder what he would think if a bunch of kids got together 
and dumped his desk over ... see, that was why I got myself in way too much 
trouble in school.
