[blparent] Off topic

I bought a Braille watch from the Independence Market for $45, and it
works great.

You can find accessible products on Amazon, but they will sell them
through an outside vendor. And even if the cost is slightly cheaper,
you have to consider the shipping and handling, though Amazon frequently
offers free S & H.

Just a side note, I am disgusted with Maxi Aids technical support. Do
not expect much help from them if you require it. After 6 months of no
communication from them after I called and called about my Kelvin
thermostat, I just gave up and reverted to my inaccessible one.

Anyway, I know you have to be cost effective, but if possible, I still
recommend the more costly Braille watches since they usually are better
quality. More than anything, I would research a particular brand before
purchasing anything.

Do you all know where to det a good Braille watch for less than $100. I
checked out ILa and all of their braille watches are between $100 and
$179. Thanks for the info and sorry for the off topic post.

Try Amazon.
I say this because I've found the same products you'd get at ILA and
Maxi Aids for a whole lot less by reputable vendors. Irronically, Maxi
Aids and ILA will sometimes sell through Amazon for less then what you'd
get by using their site directly.
Make sure you can easily raise the watch crystal, I got a watch that was
inexpensive and could not get my fingers into the thing you need to open
the crystal. My husband could, but he didn't need that type of watch.
