Hi. As far as measuring formula. I got some medicine cups from my
lactation consultant that are one ounce exactly so I use that to pour the
water in the bottle. I also got osme 2 ounce bottles from the hospital and
the lactation consultants or pediatricians might have them too.

Hi Janel. Welcome to the list. I have a 14.5 month old little boy and
remember him being 7 weeks old like it was yesterday. As for the carseat,
one option would be to buy one of those infant carriers with a seatbelt
guide and put that in the cab. The reason I'm saying that is because it
takes a lot of time to install he actual base and the cab driver probably
won't have the patience for you to install it while he waits. Another
option is the sitnstroll which I had problems with at first but is getting
easier to use now. It's a carseat that converts into a stroller and back
again. As far as measuring the milk, did you get those 2 ounce bottles from
the hospital? I used one of those to measure additional ounces other than 2
or 4. Each of those bottles contains about 2.5 ounces so all you'd have to
do is fill it up twice and poor it into the bigger one. I had to pour 5
ounces into an 8 ounce bottle and this method worked well. One person on
the list also suggested cutting one of those 2 ounce bottles in half so you
can measure one ounce exactly. I'm glad you're adjusting well to
motherhood. It can be challenging but we always manage to get through it.
Hth

Hello Listers:
I am so glad to come across this site!
I am a first time mother of a seven week old boy and am adjusting pretty
well to motherhood.
When I return to work in a few weeks, I will be traveling by taxi cab and
wanted to know if I should buy an additional base for the car seat. I
already have one that is in my mother's car since she does most of the
driving for me.

I also had questions about measuring formula. My baby takes 4 ounces, and
all of the bottles that I have are either 4 ounces of 9 ounces. He will be
graduating to five ounces and I wanted to know how to measure out five
ounces.
Look forward to your responses.
Thanks
Janel
