It's fine if they do thing to everyone whether blind sighted or purple ha ha it's when you are singled out and really don't know it theese things are done with others that it is unnerving.

As far as families or friends sneaking things into foods or things like that
... sighted people play practicle jokes on each other all the time ... have
any of you told them that it offends you? I guess I just know my family
does it because they love me and at times it has been funny ... my mom kept
eating my cucumbers off my plate last time I was at home ... I thought they
were disappearing quite quickly. They will take my full beer and replace it
with an empty one. She put a cracker in my hommade chicken noodle soup and
I hate soggy crackers in hommade soup ... she's not being vendictive she is
just messing with me. They're dog's going blind and the other day it ran
into the side of the porch because it couldn't see the steps ... I mean poor
dog but is she telling me these things because she's mean, no she's telling
me these things because the dog's going blind ... I told her I could
relate!! Just like my sister telling my mom she's looking old because of
her grey hair and I said someday she'd learn that I am the better daughter
because I wouldn't tell her she was looking old ... I guess I just don't see
things as vendictive I just know my family and they're like that and they
play practicle jokes on anyone blind or sighted ...

I remember now.
We had a 50th birthday party for an uncle. They surved little bite sized
cheesecakes with strawberries on top. My brother put a black olive on mine
and my other siblings and friends that were around thought it the funniest
thing in the world since I didn't notice until my cheesecake experience was
ruined with the taste of olive.
While they saw it as a practicle joke, it still hurt. But then I know that
they don't see why it hurt and to them it isn't a big deal. It doesn't make
it right at all.
Last year at Savannah's birthday party, my little bro put salt on a piece of
cake that was supposed to end up being mine. Again, he found it hilarious.
My older sister, totally sighted ended up with the piece of cake. I know it
wasn't right, but I did join in the laughter more because it kind of felt a
bit like a see what you get moment for me. I didn't fall for it that time
and someone else got it instead.
We were out for dinner the other night and Savannah put her taco that she
had licked on my nacho supreme. My sister was laughing and wouldn't tell me
why. I found the taco a minute later and just crunched it up into my nachos
