[blparent] Beware those sharp little eyes!

Years I wouldn't wear sunglasses because i felt pushed in to it because I was blind. A few months ago my sister got me to buy a pair but now everyone wears sunglasses so now I don't care.Just curious did families encourage wearing the dark glasses all of the time? Forb

And it doesn't stand out in everyday life?  Who cares what one's eyes look 
like!  I'm glad there is the parent of blind children around more 
prominently today to teach some parents it's respectable to be blind. 
Sounds like your family, and to some extent mine--and many others--were not 
comfortable with blind.

I try to duck and hide when it comes to pictures anyway because some have
complained that the funny way my eyes look really stands out in photos.
Fine, I'll just not appear in them, suits me.
