Thanks Bran,

It sounds like a lot of your suggestions I'm already doing which Dawson
loves.  The squeezable organic baby food pouches are too convenient and a
great way for baby to get veggies on the go when it's not easy to get ahold
of them or too expensive at restaurants because sometimes they rob you for a
simple side of steamed veggies.  Do you have any good natural cheese sauce
recipes to put on broccoli and such?

As for the leash there are definitely areas where a few extra feet would be
wonderful like the park or at the play areas of our nearby children's
museum.  This way Dawson can have his fun and I know where he is at all
times.

I've not used a retractable leash before, but really how far away do you
want him from you on a string?

Now for veggies: Sliced avocado, Oven roasted veggies like carrot sticks,
sweet potato sticks, or regular potato sticks. I lightly sprits them with
olive oil and then bake them till they are tender.

A little butter goes a long way with all veggies, but especially sweet peas
and carrots.

Squashes can also be steamed or baked. I used to steam squash till it was
much ad a bit of butter and a sprinkle of garlic and the babies would go to
town.
Remember he can also have rice, shredded meats, pasta, canned or baked
fruits, crackers and many more.

I also do banana sticks by sticking my finger down the middle of a banana
and it creates 3 even sticks they can then pick up and chomp away.
If you can squish it between your 2 fingers than go for it. You will be
surprised what a child can gum down.

O Eggs are fine also for other protein. Rairly in my care do I have a baby
older than 9 months still on baby food.
