That is what I decided to do after all but wanted to see if anyone had used
them and if they liked them or not. I'm huge into research because
sometimes when you think a product will work one way you hear from other
parents that it worked completely differently for them. I try to keep an
open mind with all products because sometimes it's that silly little thing
you got at a baby shower and thought you'd never use, that ends up being
your favorite, can't live without it item.

Hi,

I know what they are, but I think there's a point when you have to say
things like hey if you're not careful in the tub you'll hurt yourself.
What's wrong with them hitting their head on the side? they won't do it
more than once will they? You're going to be right there aren't you? So
why waste your time and money? Take Bran's advice and get one of those
faucet covers.

Tammy,

Tub bumpers don't prevent or delay a child in learning how to sit in a tub
so I don't know what you mean by your comment? My son knows how to sit in a
tub just fine and has known how to for some time now. The bumpers merely
protect the child's head should they move toward the tub's sides during
their bath.

Hi,

I don't see any reason why getting in yourself wouldn't work. I also wonder
why Aaron can't just teach the baby to sit in the tub? I think there's a
point where we need to teach our children to keep themselves safe instead of
using silly novelty things to do it for us. I would think that bumpers
would get in the way more than they'd be helpful as well.

I just got in the tub with mine.
Any reason that wouldn't work?

I used to put a big towel in the tub so gab didn't slide and since I was the
paranoid one, I always kept one hand on her at all times.

I wouldn't get them. I would do 1 of 2 things. Either just get the smaller
inflatable tub that goes in the big tub, or get the foset protector, and
teach him we only sit in the tub. I've taught babies as young as 10 months
to sit in the tub. Because the bumpers actually aren't going to help because
he can still hit his head, he could pull on them and them slide down, and
they are horrible to keep clean. Just my thoughts,

Hello list,

I am considering getting those inflatable bumpers for the regular tub that
suction cup to the sides. They come in Sesame Street and other fun designs.
My only worry is that they might not stick like they should but I'd love to
put something on the tub walls to make the big tub a safer place for our 17
month old. Have any of you used this product?

Thanks,

Erin
