Hey, I was on facebook and my cousin had posted this and I read it and
had in mind the emails that have gone around lately about little ones
drounding and how it could be possible
This is a scary thing to think about happening to your child.
The story for those who might not want to or cant click on the link,
is about how a 21 month old child climbed up on the washer and fell in
while it was operating and dround. The mother for whatever reason had
left the lid up. It sounds as if she does this all the time and rarely
shuts it but I have always thought that the lid should be closed while
useing your washer.
A part in it that made me want to post it says that the reason why a
lot of children are able to dround in small amounts of water is
because they are top heavy and do not have enough upper body strength
to lift themselves back up if they end up face down in water. I think
this would apply more to babies who are still learning to craul.
