Hi,

No Lea, the reason babies drown in very little water is because their
parents aren't paying enough attention to them. This article prooves that
very well. What's a child doing even around the washing machine, never mind
being allowed to climb it even when the lid is closed. What a sad story!

Hey, I was on facebook and my cousin had posted this and I read it and
had in mind the emails that have gone around lately about little ones
drounding and how it could be possible

This is a scary thing to think about happening to your child.
The story for those who might not want to or cant click on the link,
is about how a 21 month old child climbed up on the washer and fell in
while it was operating and dround. The mother for whatever reason had
left the lid up. It sounds as if she does this all the time and rarely
shuts it but I have always thought that the lid should be closed while
useing your washer.
A part in it that made me want to post it says that the reason why a
lot of children are able to dround in small amounts of water is
because they are top heavy and do not have enough upper body strength
to lift themselves back up if they end up face down in water. I think
this would apply more to babies who are still learning to craul.

There is a vidio that gives you more information then the artical
