I have had a couple of scary times for me.
Once when I was nine, i was at the lake which was a every weekend
thing for my family. My older family member was waching me and we were
in the more shallower end. I started to bounce up and down in the
water and soon the corent started to pull me further out. I tried to
jump forward but was so far out i could not perpell myself forward and
was pushed back instead. I started to yell for my family member but
because of all the people around yelling, he was not able to hear me.
I remember the last time I came up for air, I yelled out his name like
I did all the other times, but this time i did not have time to take
another breth in, and this time, my head wasn't coming up high enough.
I went under thinking, and knowing in my heart, that I would not come
back up again by myself. I remember I didn't even try to jump back up
because I was tired out and just gave up. Then my family member
grabbed me and pulled me up. He then dragged me to the land and never
took me back out again.
The second time i was about twelve and I was at the pool with the
school for the blind and had a tun of adults and other students with
us. This one kid dunked another kid and the dunked kid got angry and
thought I had done it and grabbed me and shoved me under him and held
me. I could not come up at all. Every time I tried to push around him,
he pushed me back down. We had five other kids around watching
thinking it was funny. At the last second, right before I was about to
dround, he let me back up. I tor him up and down for that and made him
feel really bad. All i could think was that I could have dround
because he was being stupid, him and the first person.
