And even then, it is not for sure that the instructor won't throw your child
into the deep because they learn better that way! Not!

It all depends on the facility and instructor. All instructors at an actual
club like the YMCA should have some type of certification or licensing and
some folks have multiple certifications-licenses in teaching specialized
areas like infants. If you're interested, I would call around and ask what
backgrounds and licensing the instructors have.

Do swimming instructors go through any training about how to teach swimming,
or how to teach kids? A lot of them seem quite young to me.
