[blparent] Cheyenne, and a great bill of health!!

At the risk of starting another war, I hate it when friends and family, or
anybody else, says that vaccinations are bad. There are small risks, as
with everything, but I know an elderly couple who lost their college age
daughter to meningitis, which is one thing that is vaccinated for. She got
sick late one night, and less than 24 hours later she was dead. Perfectly
healthy before that. So I'll run the risk of a shot, thank you, instead of
that. I contracted pertussis, or whooping cough, and it was miserable for
months. Not life-threatening for me, but I could see where it would be to a
baby or an elderly person, or one who is fragile like Cheyenne. The coughs
were so intense I cracked a couple of ribs, and pulled an abdomen muscle,
and after that I felt like knives were stabbing through me every time I took
a deep breath. I could see where a cough like that would tear a baby apart.
