Hi,

I am actually in communication with a consultant here in canada but wanted
to get friend's opinions on the subject before I commit to anything. the
Canadian prices are a little different, but not bad. Do you sell mostly
online? Is there restrictions as to who you can sell to? There's a place
here that sells mostly used kid's stuff but they would put a display in
their shop for me if I wanted to put one there. Can I do that?

Thanks for any help,

Tammy

I would only add that, since you are in Canada, Tammy, the prices might be a
little different because they will be in Canadian dollars. I am a casual
consultant, and I love the fact that I don't have to sell a certain amount
each month in order to remain active. Four hundred dollars in a year may
sound like a lot, but it really isn't; I've only had a few orders so far
this year and I'm almost there all ready. Please feel free to contact me if
you have questions.

Hi, I believe that Melissa and I are the only 2 consultants on the list, and
I'll be happy to answer your questions. I'm going to answer the basics here
on list where you have asked, but to follow list rules it would be best if
you chose to work with 1 of us, and then contacted us off list so we don't
clutter the list with stuff the rest of the group isn't interested in.

To sell Discovery Toys you will need to purchase a kit of Discovery Toys
products for $125 plus tax and shipping. These toys are yours forever
regardless of what you decided to do with your business. You may not sell
toys to stores, but can directly sell to anyone anywhere you can get a sale.
You have a company website people can shop on, and you of course can do
personal sales, home parties, booths at shows, and more. In order to remain
active and in the computer eligible to place orders and take advantage of
your 20% discount you need to sell $400 in a year. It can be all at once or
in little bits. I have several casual consultants on the team that do just
that, they order gifts and friends casually order from them. If you want to
work the business there is unlimited support from your team leaders, home
office, and a wonderful website of training. There is a smart start type
program that gives you extra free toys, extra cash bonuses and such for the
first 4 months of your business. You get catalogs, 1 month of website in
addition to the toys in your kit. After the 1 month website you must keep a
company website and can choose whether you would like the Mini site which
has a lot less options for $2.99 a month, or the full version for $9.99 a
month. The new site is much more accessible and they are working with me on
the minor glitches. Home office is super friendly and helpful should you
ever need something and you can't reach one of your team leaders.

I hope this helps make things more clear, and I hope we can welcome you
soon.

All my contact information is in my signature.

HI all,

I know that some of you are members of discovery toys and I just have some
questions. Actually, just one or 2 questions. first, do you have to commit
to a certain thing like to be a consultant for a year or something like that
or a certain number of sales? Do you have to sell so many toys through
parties or online etc or can you sell however you want? If I have a store
that wants to buy toys from me can I do that or can I only sell to
individuals? If I find the business isn’t for me, which I doubt I’ll do but
if it happens, do I have to send everything back? Does it cost alot in
genertal for the business? If so I’m not sure I can afford it so I’d like
to know all I can about it before I start. It looks great on the surface
but not sure about it in the longrun.

Thanks in advance
Tammy
