It was, though I've never read the book. I heard the name years ago on
Writing.com I think. It always stuck with me and I've used it in a few of my

I read a book called Clan of the Cave Bears and I  think the main character

We have decided on Ethan for a boy or Elizabeth for a girl.  Our other two
children are Austin and Oriana, which, of course, are favorite names of
ours.  It's nice that the two of you like so many of the same names.  We
have had quite the hard time agreeing--except for Oriana, who we had named
even before we were married.  Smile.

Hi, Bernadetta.  I'm so glad you have a healthy baby boy.  You're right, in
the end, a healthy baby is all that matters.  My labor and delivery didn't
go as planned, either, but I have a little girl who turned four last month,
and she's the best surprise that ever happened to me.  I live in Colorado
and work from home as a braille proofreader.

By the way, I really like your name.  "Bernadette" means "brave as a bear" 
In french, so I guess Bernadetta is a derivitave.  I considered giving my
daughter the name Bernadette just because I liked the meaning so much.
