I love the Beula Reimer Legacy, BRL site. I wish it was around when I
was a kid growing up. It is sooooo afordable and really, so many
mainstream books can be found at the site. I need to go and check it
out. I haven't been their for a while. Between the BRL site and the
National Braille Press, Erik can't avoid being an avid book reader.
People on BART marvel at how interested he is in books and how he
flips the pages around and reads on the train.

a few weekends ago I went to a state fair and found these awesome
handmaid cloth books. They came in shapes of little brief cases or
backpacks. You open them up and there are all sorts of cool things
your kids can do. we got Erik a book to teach shapes and colors. The
shapes are attached by velcro and the colors are embroidered so you
can read the color on each page. And of course, the shapes are
tactile. They had other books that taught the ABC's which were totally
tactile, numbers, animals, etc. I'll find the business card and share
with the list.
