My daughter wants us to get a tandem then we'll ride in the Olympics and win a gold medal and be the first mommy and daughter to do this.
Then when we're done with that, she wants to dive and swim and do gynmastics.

I was telling Gab about a tandem bike yesterday.  I told her if she learns
to ride correctly, no wobbling from side to side, maybe someday we can get
one and ride together.  That really seemed to pump her up and now she wants
to practice more and more.

Yay, right on!  That's awesome!  She'll find that a bike gives her a little
more freedom, at least as much as you let her have.  My brother and sister
and I were on our bikes a lot every summer.  My folks bought a tandem bike
so that one of my siblings could steer while I rode along on the back.
Believe me, that tandem bike was the coolest thing the neighborhood kids had
ever seen.

So Gab only took 12 years to learn to ride her bicycle but she's finally
doing it.  I watched her ride to the corner and back, first the short side
of the street, then to the long side.  I'm so proud of her.
