This is true, parents may have an idea their child is gifted but you have to 
have him evaluated by a profetional to know for shore.  A lot of signs of 
giftednes are the same signs people look at for ADHD, ADD and other ishues. 
And, just because a child is labled gifted doesn't meen things just fall in 
to place.  Its a lot of work to be a parent of a gifted child and as 
exciting as it is it can also be tiring.  Plus you have to do all the 
medical stuff as well and they don't let you opt out, if they want a scan of 
your kids brain you have to get it.  If they want to intervew your kid out 
of our sight they will.  Because there are a lot of people who train their 
kids to pass these tests thinking their kid will get an edg on the rest but 
that isn't the case.

So if you think he's gifted be ready to say your pease comly, and know that 
they do ask about how things are at home.  Its not one docter, its a team.

I'll poest the links I have when I get time to but I read this wile looking 
for something so I can't do it now but will try for this week.
