Hi,
Hopefully this email is working since someone has tried to remove me
from this list twice this morning.
Anyways ... remember several months ago when I asked everyone for
their input on a potential blind mom's retreat? well, we're finalists
for that grant and I have five minutes to convince them that we should
get the grant. I'm thinking the best way to do this is to tug on heart
strings and play with their emotions. So ... I need a story I can
share about how a blind mamacita gained confidence or found a
lifechanging way to be a mom simply by connecting with other blind
moms and learning by networking. Okay, that sounds really sarcastic
which is not my intention.
Sure I can share my own stories but I'm not sure if I can convey in
words just how important it is to network and share with other blind
parents; that it is so important to have friends who can advise in
alternative ways to do something; and etc, etc, etc. I'm sure you know
what I'm trying to say.
So please, take pity on me and suggest a story, suggest I share
something compelling about my life you remember me posting about,
suggest something I can say in 5 minutes.
Thanks in advance,
Lisamaria
