If the medicine that was suggested is Mylacon, it's a very common, very mild
medicine used even with tiny little babies. It's just a drop or two that
you put in his mouth, and believe me, it was a lifesaver when my daughter
was an infant. She was in a brace for her first few months because she was
born with a dislocated hip, and the way the brace positioned her made for
horrible gas. Mylacon never had any bad side effects for her, and I would
recommend it for anybody, but if you like, ask your doctor about it. The
other thing recommended was pepermint oil, and I bought some but never used
it because it smelled and tasted so strong, I was a bit afraid to give it to
my baby. Still, it might be an option for you.
