[blparent] snacks

Bananas are also good with peanut butter. I sometimes put them on bread as
sandwiches and use either mashed banana or sliced instead of jelly. You can
also do things with peanut butter and bananas like slicing the bananas and
making little sandwiches with banana instead of bread, or pull out one of
the thirds the banana breaks into length wise and make little banana boats.

You might also bring a collapsible insulated bag and you could probably keep
some yogurt and cream cheese plenty cold enough for several days. Use some
zip lock baggies with some ice to keep it cool, but neither of those are
highly perishable either. I just bought such a bag for $10 today. It is the
size of an oversized purse. You could even use it as your carry on if you do
not ant to give up the space in your luggage. I am thinking of getting a
second one just for use as a bag to keep things like my electronics cool in
this summer heat. It is in the 90's here already and I am several hours
North of Dallas.

Tell me again of good snacks to keep in a hotel room that won't go bad. I
know fruits like apples and oranges and peanut butter and crackers, but what
else?
